Not if that is what your recipe calls for.

Go to allrecipes.com do an ingredients search, you can type in things you don't want. Such as put down you do want sugar and butter, don't want baking soda, powder or brown sugar and do key word ';cookies'; and see what you get.Can i make brownies or cookies without baking soda baking powder, and brown sugar?
make fudge

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1 cup milk

1/2 stick butter

2 tbsp peanut butter(makes texture neat)

1tsp vanilla

Put sugar, cocoa powder, milk into a pan and bring to a boil. boil for a bit till it reaches 238 degrees F or soft ball stage- you determine this by putting a small amount into a glass of cold water and a soft ball forms) after that put the vanilla in with butter and peanut butter stir for about a minute pour into greased dish and let set. you may put in fridge until it solidifies
Sure. I have a few brownie recipes and none of them have baking soda or powder and no brown sugar.

Brownies

2 ounces unsweetened chocolate

1/4 cup butter or margarine

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1 teaspoon vanilla

Confectioners' sugar, for dusting (optional)

Preheat the oven to 300掳 F. Butter an 8-inch square pan. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper, then butter and flour the paper. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate with the butter, stirring to blend. Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar, egg, salt, flour, chocolate chips, and vanilla. Spread in the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes. Cool for about 5 minutes, then turn out onto a rack and peel the wax paper from the bottom. Transfer to a cutting board and cut in squares. Dust brownies with confectioners' sugar if desired

.
to brownies, add extra egg for additional leavening. Substitute white sugar for the brown sugar.

Next time you're out, get yourself a box of each.
if you make sugar cookies you won't need brown sugar! as for the baking powder/soda! I went thru this yesterday with my sweet tooth!! you could do it but the cookies just won't rise! might still satisfy your sweet tooth!
