Why does face powder consist of different colours?

I have a face powder that is like 20 different colors (in the form of pentagons) why cant a face powder just be one color?Why does face powder consist of different colours?

Because unless you have ';peaches and cream'; skin, a human face consist of various colors, so the powder is used to counter all those colors.
Your face and skin in general, isn't all one color, sometimes darker shades are needed to help even tone. The same with the light shades they provide.





The key is to use each color on a specified tone to add balance and natural beauty.
well because not all girls skin tone is one color that's is why.............1 pale skin 2.light skin 3. medium skin 4. tan skin 5. dark skin
To match different skin tones, for me i use two shades of powder, a shade for allover my face and a one shade lighter shade around my eyes after concealing
most face powders are actually just one color. I know physician's formula does multi-colored compacts but even they are specific for different skin tones i.e. they come in light, medium and dark. The reason they have more than one color is for a more natural-looking result.
