Choithram supermarket. It's on Mankhool Rd at the corner of Al Rolla St, near Tariq Bin Ziyad Rd. There are actually a few Choitram's in Dubai, they all sell lots of great Asian seasonings and ingredients.

If you go into the store and ask they should have the manufacturers name and contact details. Well this is the case for Waitrose own brand stuff as I used to work there. If you don't want to go into the store you could phone up the store or main customer services which would be on their website or receipt. Hope you find it!

Protein powder shakers, do I need one or will a simple container do?

These are everywhere now and I begrudge paying 拢8 for something that seems so pointless. But do these mesh and ball ones work better than a normal container, anyone with any experience tell me otherwise or where I can find a cheap one so that I too may jump on the bandwagon.Protein powder shakers, do I need one or will a simple container do?
yes the shakers work alot better! you dont need the wire ball ones though! i got a shaker with the mesh and it was like $2 and it works great, no clumps at all! the ball ones work good too, but they are too spendy.

but you really dont need one, if you dont mind a few clumps in your shakes.

i get mine from www.bodybuilding.com im pretty sure it was $2 and it works fine, and very easy to clean and use.

yes cdndave is right you really dont need a shaker, but for me, the $2 was worth it, i just open the lid, pour the water or milk, put the powder in put the mesh disc in and put cap back on and shake! simple, no need to get a stir stick or spoon.Protein powder shakers, do I need one or will a simple container do?
Any simple container should do. If your powder doesn't mix properly, try stirring with a simple spoon or stick. Buying a special shaker is pure fashion... but it is important to some.
I guess go ahead and get one.

But the protein powder that i have ';cytosport'; chocolate bean flavour gets dissolves without any clumps instantly. and the taste is unbeatable.

i just mix mine in a glass pitcher and stir it up for a minute or so and let it stand for 2 mins and then repeat it. just to make sure the mixture is homogenous.

i personally don't need one of those shakers.
Shakers work better, but a simple containter will do the trick, but you will need something to scrape the sides with this type of container.

Whey Powder Non-Vegetarian in Mars products Can I get a refund?

I brought a load of minstrels today (I had strange craving for them) However when I got them home I realised that they have whey powder in which isn鈥檛 suitable for vegetarians. I know Mars changed this and due to public demand changed back to using the vegetarian friendly one. Obviously I got the old packs. How do you apply your foundation/concealer/powder?

    What is your system?

Mine doesn't seem to give me a good amount of staying power during the day --

I use liquid foundation applied with a sponge then dot on concealer where needed. --- This seems to melt after about 1-2 hours --- help? How do you apply your foundation/concealer/powder?
well...first of all, you need to make sure that your makeup is good quality!! I use Clinique which yes is more expensive but it really makes a difference in how my skin looks and holds up through the day......

Ummm....make sure you apply powder after concealer because it really helps to keep the shine away and gives you a more finished look throughout the day!

If that still doesn't work.....i know that some makeup brands sell longlasting foundation and stuff like that....i've heard that maybelline and Almay have some great products like that

Hope this helps!! :)How do you apply your foundation/concealer/powder?
My daily make up routine :

    You will need :

    A cleanser

    Wipes

    Concealer

    Foundation

    Powder/Blusher brush

    Powder/Blusher.

    1. First I wash my face with a cleanser.

    2. Then clean my face with a facial wipe.

    3. Apply moisturizer all over the face except the eyelids and under the eyes.

    4. Then get your concealer and dot under the eye and on any red areas or blemishes.

    5. Massage in concealer gently using circular motions.

    6. Get some foundation and put a drop into the palm of your hand.

    7. Apply the foundation on your cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. Make sure you have no orange lines around the hairline or your face. Make sure the color blends into your neck.

    8. Smile. Keep Smiling and get your blusher brush and dip it into the powder. Sweep the brush across the apples of your cheeks.

Never apply foundation with a sponge. The sponge absorbs all of the foundation and it wastes it. Also the sponge stores bacteria inside causing pimples.
I use a sponge or foundation brush, my make up stays on all day but maybe its not how you apply it maybe its the foundation that you're using, if you've got oily skin and you're using make up for dry skin then its not going to stay on pretty well. personally i've never really found a good liquid foundation, i prefer the compacts. just try topping up your make up every couple of hours for the moment while you try for a good foundation, get testers first and try them out besides wasting alot of money on make up that you may never use again. most places that sell make up dont charge for testers. good luck!
There's a range of cosmetics that includes foundations and concealers from Revlon called ';color stay';. It works really well. The foundation stays on for up to 10 hours but its easy to remove when you want to remove it.
-start with a primer, like mac.

    -apply concealer as needed.

-sponge on your makeup as usual.

-set it with a translucent powder.

Can a nail salon put that acrilic powder on your nail without the fake tip?

i dont want the fake tip. i just want my real nails to be stronger. can they put that arilic on? do they even do that? Can a nail salon put that acrilic powder on your nail without the fake tip?
Yup, you can simply ask them not to add the fake tip!

But if you want your real nails to become stronger, don't use acrylic powder. It damages your nails. To take it off you have to dip your fingers in acetone or file it off. Also, it yellows your nails because it doesn't let your nails breathe as much.

Apply a nail strengthener from the store like Sally Hansen instead.

  • I'm 14 and I do a pretty rigourios workout each day- How would Whey powder help to increase the results?

What does whey do anyways to increase muscle mass and strength?I'm 14 and I do a pretty rigourios workout each day- How would Whey powder help to increase the results?
Whey is the protein with the highest biological value (it is the best absored into the body and also the fastest type). Taking whey (half a serving) before a workout, allows your body to partially repair itselt between sets, this means that you can workout harder and get more out of less time.

By taking a full serving of whey protein after a session, it helps prevent muscle sorreness and encourages growth because muscles are made of proteins and water. When you take your shake after a workout, have something that contains simple carbs (sugary) in small amounts, i have 5 jelly babies, this is because the sugar will send all of that protein around your body in no time, restore the energy in the muscle called glycogen (which runs out during a workout, which is why you feel tired) and also something that contains slow digesting carbs like wholemeal toast. Make sure that when you are trying to build muscle, that you drink plenty of water, this is because your body is made up of mostly water, and if you drink none, your muscles will not grow. So (similarly to a plant) water them to grow!

Make sure that you keep your workouts under 1 hr (about 40 mins) because this is how long it takes for your energy in the muscle to be used up, without this energy, the muscle eats itself (becoming smaller) in otder to get the energy.

Good luckI'm 14 and I do a pretty rigourios workout each day- How would Whey powder help to increase the results?
it doesn't increase anything, it just repairs your muscle faster allowing for more rigioruos work outs.
You're 14! Enjoy life! Why are you so into working out? You are fine the way you are until you reach an age where your body can handle that much stress and until you can educate yourself more about getting developing muscles. The girls will come.....
Whey is an excellent protein for the body. When working out, it will help build muscle and break down fat.
Whey is protein, and protein repairs your body, nothing more, nothing less.
my husband and i use whey protein. It help me work out longer and i don;t get as sore.u need protein if u are working out that hard.it helps protect your muscle from tearing down when your working them hard.
Um.... I don't quite understand your question. Maybe refraise?

What is the difference between Loose Powder and Mineral Powder Foundation?

Mineral powder foundation is just that.. foundation. It's purpose is to smooth out your skin tone and cover any blemishes/subtle marks you may have on your face. It is really good for people with sensitive, normal-oily, or acne prone skin. It feels light weight and doesn't clog pores. Bare Minerals is what I recommend.

Loose powder should be the last product you use after (in order) your concealer, foundation, bronzer, blush, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara and lip products. It is used to ';set'; your make-up so that it will last longer. You should also apply your loose powder throughout the day. If you have oil build up it will matte it and it will brush off any dirt debris that may have clinged to your face.

I hope this helps.. :)What is the difference between Loose Powder and Mineral Powder Foundation?
Mineral powder foundation can be compact ... but not loose..its made of mineral natural elements that can not damage ur skin ..

Loose powder is like when u finish ur foundation and u want to add this flawless elegant silky look to ur makeup .. so u use loose powder..but its more artificial than the mineral ones..

U can apply some of loose powder too under ur eyes to catch any of the falling eyeshadow that may ruin ur makeup ...What is the difference between Loose Powder and Mineral Powder Foundation?
Loose powder foundation is manufactured powder, and mineral powder

is natural minerals (some use vitamin E and Shea butter also). Mineral powder is supposedly better for your skin because it is made of

natural products. I don't know. I've been using different brands of makeup for years and my skin is fine. I've tried the mineral makeup and I don't get as big a difference as the models on TV, but then again,

I don't have a makeup artist applying it.
I personally think that loose powder is horrible!! It clogs your pores, and is extremally messy. Mineral powder such as sheer cover(I highly recommend it) blends easily and doesnt clog your pores. It also cleans easily off your face but it doesnt wipe off throughout the day. You just have to learn how to use it. Hope I helped!! :-)
Loose powder is made of anything the manufacturing company decides.

Mineral powder is made of minerals and for me seems to cover better and longer. It mixes with the oils in your skin and looks flawless to me

Can someone find me the worlds hottest chilli powder?

The origins, where I can find it and how hot it is please. A link would be nice as well thanks :)Can someone find me the worlds hottest chilli powder?
The Naga Jolokia is the hottest. You won't find powder made from it, but it's easy to do yourself - buy some (try the link below), cut them into pieces (wearing latex gloves is recommended!), put them onto a tray and either dry on a sunny windowsill or in the oven at it's lowest setting (50C/100F if possible). Then grind in a food mill, or coffee grinder.

I've made some and it really is fearsomely hot but it does have an excellent taste - you put so little in that you can count the grains.

If you live somewhere with good Indian grocer shops, they may import them - Taj stores in Brick Lane used to.

There's also a curry paste made from them, it's called Mr. Naga. Again you need a good Indian grocers. It's a diluted paste, with oil and spices, but is still very very hot. I open mine to let the air in and leave it for at least 6 months in a cupboard to let some the the heat disappear.

You can buy naga chillis at

    http://www.dorsetnaga.com/

If you want to grow your own (and it's the easiest thing to do), just plant a couple of the chillis in some compost in a pot, water regularly and you'll get a nice crop. You don't even need to separate the seeds, but if you are going to make your own powder, just remove a load of seeds when you cut the chillis up and plant them.

If you get some I would also recommend a good toilet paper with Aloe Vera, kept in the fridge overnight. Can someone find me the worlds hottest chilli powder?

I personally like tide the best. I also prefer liquid because it is better on the environment
I find that Tide does a good job on the heavy dirt, but it's a little to strong for some other things. The quality/hardness of water in your locality will have a lot more to do with the quality of your wash than the detergent you use. What works good in my area may not work where you are at. 90% of commercial detergents are water softening agents that have to go to work before the detergent itself can do it's job.
    Tide with HP
I use Tide. I've used cheaper brands, but they don't seem to clean as well. Arm and Hammer also works well.

What washing powder do you use and do you think it keeps your whites white?

In reply to your question and to comment on Susan H's remark that there is no powder to keep whites white I would say (here in the UK) that Ariel powder for whites does definitely keep them white. We tend to use hot water for washing household white items and warm water for white clothing. I have noticed on this site many US contributors saying they wash in cold water. Buy a quality powder, preferably a biological one with added oxygen bleaches and optic brighteners (this describes most UK powders for whites), use hot or warm water whichever is applicable and you will be pleasantly surprised. What washing powder do you use and do you think it keeps your whites white?

What do you think of liquid cheese with powder vegetable soup for flavor?

I think it's impossible to have an actual liquid REAL cheese. If you're talking about some fake cheese-flavored water, then it all sounds disgusting and horribly unhealthy. Both the cheese powder and the vegetable soup mix are loaded with sodium and preservatives. Why not make a homemade vegetable soup; and melt some real cheese into it?

  • Can you use Baking soda instead of Baking powder in doughnuts?

Yes. There are ways to use baking soda rather than baking powder, but they cannot be used the same way.

-You can make your own baking powder,

    2 tbsp. cream of tartar

    1 tbsp. baking soda

    1 tbsp. cornstarch

Sift together. Store in airtight container. One teaspoon of this is equal to 1 teaspoon store bought baking powder. If you use homemade baking powder, be sure to bake your recipe right away after mixing the ingredients. There are commercial baking powders that will allow you to let a recipe sit for a while before baking, but it's generally a good plan to start heating the food immediately, since the reaction that causes baked goods to rise starts as soon as the wet ingredients are added.

    OR

1/2 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/2 cup buttermilk or plain yogurt = 1 teaspoon baking powder

There might be. However I never use any myself. It is known to cause lung problems. The talc particles get caught in the alveoli of your lungs and anything that gets caught in there and stays can eventually cause cancer. I'm not kidding.

well i dont have fresh garlic, just garlic powder. how can i get that roasted taste from just the garlic powder?

i cant go to the store.I dont have garlic, i only have garlic powder...how to make the roasted taste?
you can't honI dont have garlic, i only have garlic powder...how to make the roasted taste?
Stop. Don't use garlic powder in place of roasted garlic.

When garlic bulbs are roasted, they become almost sweet. Garlic power cannot imitate that taste.

You might get something similar if you slice a regular cooking onion and saute the slices until it's caramelized, light brown and slightly sweet. It's the same process, undoubtedly converting something to sugars.
I don't think that you'll be able to replicate a roasted flavour in the garlic powder. It shouldn't make a big difference in the taste.. roasting just gives the garlic a subtle sweet flavour.
My book says substitute 1/8 tsp of garlic powder for 1 clove.
    Maybe onion?

'; nai cha ' is from the Chinese Cantonese pronunciation, which means '; milk tea '; in English, it originally came from Chinese Cantonese usually added milk to their red tea (like drinking coffee with cream).

The original '; milk tea '; or '; nai cha '; procedure is :

    1. '; Red tea '; - you can buy a really ' Big ' plastic bag of 鈥?red tea dried leaves '; for around a hundred pesos only in 'Ongpin Chinatown' ; it already can produce for many many gallons of red tea!

What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?

when would be the right time to use either one of the ingredientWhat is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?
Baking soda is NaHCO3, sodium bicarbonate.

Baking powder can have several ingredients, but it always has an acid and a base that react together to make carbon dioxide (CO2) to make the dough it is mixed into rise.

The major difference is baking soda needs an acidic ingredient, like cocoa, vinegar, cream of tartar. etc. to react with it to produce CO2. Baking powder does not need this since it is already there.

Most recipes I have used require mixing all of the dry ingredients together, including the baking powder or soda, before adding the liquid. Then you mix it and bake it!What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?
Both baking soda and baking powder are leavening agents, which mean they are added to baked goods before cooking to produce carbon dioxide and cause them to 'rise'. Baking powder contains baking soda, but the two substances are used under different conditions.

Baking soda is (Dry) pure sodium bicarbonate. When baking soda is combined with moisture and an acidic ingredient (e.g., yogurt, chocolate, buttermilk, honey)
They are the same thing, a mixture of sodiumhydrogen carbonate. and other stuff, for example seasoning like salt. Check the pkt ingredient list.

The NaHCO3 reacts with acid and water to give off carbon dioxide. this is what causes the cooked food to rise.

Can you use frontloader washing machine powder in a normal washing machine?

No! Powders and liquids for front loaders are different from top loader ones! Front loaders use much less water than top loaders and so powders are of a different formulation. If you use one type of powder in the wrong machine you can risk having TONS of foam trying to escape from the machine and ruining it. I think this is most problematic if you try to use top loader powder in a front loader machine. Can you use frontloader washing machine powder in a normal washing machine?
Yes, it cleans the same way, front loads have the same horse power. Can you use frontloader washing machine powder in a normal washing machine?
I know at the laundomat, if you use the frontloaders, you need to use half of soap/bleach etc., so you'd just use more frontloader powder in a regular machine.

If i put hannford fruit punch powder mix into my water, is that bad?

I have this fruit podwer I bought at hannford it says it only has 5 calories and no sugar or anything else.

And I drink 2 quarts and 9 pints a day, and I get tired of taste of water. And I know if i put the powder mix it would be easer for me to drink the water.

But Im worried if i drink all that water with the powder mix is it 5times each serving? If i put hannford fruit punch powder mix into my water, is that bad?
Go run around in the sun. You'll learn to love water.

Regardless, the powder mix probably won't kill you. Nothings as good as pure, cold water though. If i put hannford fruit punch powder mix into my water, is that bad?
I do the same thing, I can't drink all that plain water so I use Crystal Light. You can drink as much as you want and it has as many calories as like a carrot or something.

So yeah, it's 5 calories per serving and you're drinking a lot of servings, but so what? that's like 50 calories? that's nothing

What's the best foundation or powder or anything for dry skin?

Right, currently I use MAC studio fix, which is the liquid one, and it works okay, but it still slightly dries my skin out once the liquid is dry, i'm getting frustrated because someone told me if you have dry skin, liquid is the best to use, but i just don't know which to buy which WON'T dry my skin after a few hours and look really horrible. I want something which keeps me looking refreshed and clear all day.

Any help? :/What's the best foundation or powder or anything for dry skin?
use a tinted moisturizer instead than a foundation it very moisturizing for dry skin Now I am using a tinted moisturizer that clinique sheer tint with spf works wonderful it leaves my skin very dewy not dry or flaky or get the neutrogena healthy skin enhancer tinted moisturizer is also good for dry skin. What's the best foundation or powder or anything for dry skin?
Right, are you using a proper cleansing/toning routine at the moment, along with moisturising before applying your foundation? It's important to moisturise your skin before using a foundation! Also, once a week exfoliate your skin, which will get rid of any dry skin.

Yes, you're right, liquid foundation is best for dry skin. Go for a oil based one or one that is sold as a moisturising foundation (eg Lancome Teint Idole Ultra, which is oil free but moisturising - good if you're worried oils going to bring you out in blemishes or something).

    Hope that helps!
I think that your skin is becoming dry after applying your product to your face because it probably contains some ingredient that contains alcohol which can easily dry your skin out after using it.I suggest that you stop using any lotion or liquid that contains alcohol so that your skin doesn't dry out.I also suggest that you start buying products than contain mineral oil, corn oil,and vitamin E.Since dry skin is a condition that causes your skin to dry out because you aren't retaining oil it would only make since that your buy products like coa coa butter etc etc because they contain the oil that your skin naturally doesn't keep.I also suggest that you include more water, almonds, strawberries, green tea,and fish in your diet because they all contain substances that are all good for your skin including apples if I forgot to mission that.
i think u should google Dinair Airbrush Makeup...its amazing! It covers everything and makes my skin look flawless..it also stays on all day...ive been using it for the past 2 years and i LOVE it...its all water based so its not bad for ur skin cause it doesnt clog ur pores..anywho..hope i helped..=)
For dry skin, u should use liquid foundation, try one from Chanel, it is expensive but what u pay what u get, it's worth it.

How soon can u use baby powder or creams on a newborn?

when i was at the hospital (after birth) my baby got a little rash on her bottom and the nurses told us not to put anything on the baby because the baby was too small! is this true or can i put baby powder on my baby? How soon can u use baby powder or creams on a newborn?
You should be able to use diaper cream right away. I wouldn't use any powder unless you sprinkle it only on the diaper and away from the baby as the powder can cause lung/breathing problems. Powder isn't worth walking away from your baby to sprinkle it on a diaper on the other side of the room. How soon can u use baby powder or creams on a newborn?
You can use Vaseline and diaper creams right away. There is no reason why you would not be able to. It is alright to use cornstarch baby powder, but never the talc ones which have been shown to cause cancer. The cornstarch ones are alright to use.
I wouldn't put powder on a baby, ever! And I'd only use zinc and castor oil cream or something similar if my baby got a rash. Don't use it as a preventative, because their precious, delicate skin doesn't need cream put on it for no reason!
I think it would be ok, but you have to wonder how the baby got a rash so soon after being born. You might want to try switching brands of diapers if the rash is still there, different brands of diapers may irritate babies skin.
No, but I would be careful of what kind of powder I used. I suggest Johnson's baby powder with corn meal its the best. Makes sure it does not get in the baby's face as it can cause respiratory problems if breathed in.
zinc cream or vaseline go for it .. baby poweder NO!

I just had my baby 4 days ago and at the hospital all of the nurses said it is not a goo idea to use baby powder, especially since I have a girl.
Actually, baby powder shouldn't be used on Baby.... The talcum powder poses a risk to the baby's lungs. I began using plain, white petroleum jelly on my daughter at about 4 days.
WELL I NEVER PUT BABYPOWDER ON MY SON BECAUSE THAT STUFF GETS EVERYWHERE..BUT I ALWAYS USED THE CREAM OR BABY VASILINE..THE DOCTOR TOLD ME THAT I COULD USE THOSE 2 RIGHT AWAY
i know your not suppose to use powder. But my newborn got a rash right after i had her because she couldnt handle the formula and my doc told me i could use balmex.
I never use baby powder and feel that it's unneccessary. You can use a cream at any time.
God if your asking this question I hate to see what kind of questions u gonna have in the future...

NO do not use baby powder use Zinc or Vaseline
no that's not true, you can use the powder or the cream as soon as they're born.

Forget the liquitabs - use a cheap powder like Aviva or Easy, then scent it up with a conditioner.

    what are you talking about?

What is the difference between pressed powder and loose powder? Which do you recommend?

Pressed powder is a cake of face powder pressed into a mirrored compact with a puff or sponge. It usually has a matte finish on the skin, and is portable and convenient for touch-ups during the day if you have oily skin that needs blotting.

Loose powder has a consistency more like baby powder - soft, fine, and, well, loose. Most brands are packaged in a tin, plastic box, or shaker container with a screen over the powder so you can shake out a little at a time through the small holes in the screen. Unless you have a container that stays tightly closed, loose powder is not very portable. There is a benefit of loose over pressed, though - loose powder is softer and more natural looking on the skin. You can apply it with a powder brush or a puff depending on the finish you want.

Both pressed and loose powders typically come in a variety of skin tone shades from light beige to deep cocoa. There are also translucent or colorless powders that are designed to work on any skin color. If you always use your powder over foundation or concealer, a translucent powder will set the makeup without adding any extra color.

Face powder in skintone colors are great if you want to wear only powder with no other foundation, or if your foundation color needs some adjusting. For example, if your foundation is too pink, you can layer a yellow-based powder over it to make the overall color more neutral. Some brands also make green and violet powders that are supposed to counteract too much red in the skin (you'd use green powder) or too sallow (you'd use violet). Personally I think these are gimmicky and never look as good on the skin as they sound in theory. I recommend sticking to translucent or natural skintone shades. What is the difference between pressed powder and loose powder? Which do you recommend?
pressed powder is more solid and loose powder is like a dust, i use pressed powder it is really good for keeping ur skin grease free and matt all day!!!! Go for pressed powder loose powder just makes u look like a ghost! xWhat is the difference between pressed powder and loose powder? Which do you recommend?
I think the others have pretty much answered your question when it comes to the difference. As for which I recommend, I use them both, but for different things. Loose powder can be applied with a large brush to ';set'; your makeup and to make it look more natural. As for pressed powder, I use it as a kind of shine stopper/foundation when I'm traveling. I always keep some of each in my purse.
    no idea
    Loose powder definitely!!!!

Easier to apply normally not as heavy as pressed powder

    Looks good with Bronzing pearls
I would recommend pressed powder, I find it much easier to use.
it depends on your skin type, and what works with it.

also whats the occasion - day/night

i use the loose powder, mine has a bronzer in it tho'

also depends on what colour and look you are off for
Loose powder is finer and comes in a bigger container, pressed is compacted. I always use loose, with a large brush, its finer and better to apply and can be used minimally as I dont like to have the 'made up' look!
Loose powder with a big brush is fine when you can drape a towel over your lap! It's too messy when you're on the run, when pressed is best.
pressed powder is less messy but harder to apply than the loose
Pressed powder is normally used for oily skin as a compact foundation. However loose powder is used for setting foundation IE cream/liquid foundation. It holds the foundation in place for longer and reduces sweat/shine on the skin giving a flawless Finnish. They both have different jobs so it depends what you need them for. I hope this helped!
Just as it says pressed is a compact of smooth powder and loose is a container. I use loose after applying makeup and I carry a pressed to touch up or get rid of the shine, both are good...
In terms of coverage, loose powder provides a lighter coverage than pressed powder. It doesn't give you the ';made-up'; or ';powdery'; look.
It depends if you are wanting to wear it as a light foundation then pressed powder is the best but if you want something to go over ur liquid Foundation then a Translousent loose powder will be the best. Hope this helps

Vicky (make-up Artist and Beauty therapist)
Loose powder is a ';finer tumble talc';, use this if you have oily-normal skin. Do NOT use pressed powder if you have oily skin because it will not stay where you want it and end up settling in your creases. I don't recommend Cover Girl's powder as it has Neutrogena in it and can cause you to break out. Of course I sell Mary Kay so I would recommend that because its great, and we all honor the 100% guarantee so if you try one and don't like it, you can exchange it for something else or get a full refund. How fun is that? Check it out www.marykay.com/josiebee for fun application tips!

Whats the difference between baking soda and baking powder?

Baking soda needs moisture and acids to react. If you don't have an acid (i.e. chocolate, honey, citrus, etc.) it will turn your product green :(

Baking Powder needs only moisture and heat to react.

They are both leavening agents and react with different ingredients in the recipe. They are NOT interchangeable, as they react differently to different ingredients

loose powder is the one that comes in the bigger container and it actually looks like powder and the pressed powder comes in those small compacts. I like loose powder better, I think that it looks more natural. Sometimes the pressed powder can cake on a little, so again I would recommend the loose powder. What is the difference between loose powder %26amp; pressed powder for make-up?
Loose powder is the very powdery and more messy sort of make-up and pressed powder is...pressed.

pressed powder goes on heavy and stays on longer without wearing off.

loose powder is thinner and wears off during the day.

What are the best products to use for a dog who is allergic to flea powder?

This is the all natural way to keep pest off of your dog or cat

Mix some Brewers Yeast (health food store i.e. Whole Foods Market) and garlic powder (any kind is okay ) and sprinkle it on your pet's food. I promise that this works and it is completely safe and the natural way to keep pest off of your pet. If they don't eat it at first just leave it there and don't change eventually they will eat it ( they will get hungry sooner or later) and you and your pet will not have a pest problem and you won't have to poison them with those chemicals.

I have a recipe that calls for buttermilk powder. What is it ?

Buttermilk powder is often used in baked goods instead of liquid buttermilk. I prefer it because it keeps for a long time in the refrigerator, and costs a good deal less than an equivalent amount of liquid buttermilk. The most popular brand is by Saco Foods, and can be found in most grocery stores in the baking aisle near the flour and sugar. When using buttermilk in baking, 1 tablespoon of buttermilk powder and 1/4 cup of water is equal to 1/4 cup of liquid buttermilk. Is powder detergents bad to use in dishwashers & washing machines?

Ive' been using powder detergents in my household machines now for a few months %26amp; a friend told me that they can clog them up. Is that true?Is powder detergents bad to use in dishwashers %26amp; washing machines?
I have never heard of that before. It would seem to me that when you wash your whites in hot water--the hot water would dissolve any soap that is left in the machine therefore preventing your machine from clogging up. The only bad thing about using powder detergents is that sometimes they do not dissolve like they should in the washer. Consumers Reports say that liquid detergents do get your clothes cleaner than powder. If you are worried about clogging up your machine by using powder just measure your soap and dump into a bucket and fill the bucket with some hot water to dissolve the soap before you dump into the machine. You do not have to fill the bucket all the way to the top to get it to dissolve. Is powder detergents bad to use in dishwashers %26amp; washing machines?
It depends on your water. If you have very hard water in could give you problems.
I always used powder cheer in my washer because I was told that the liquid detergents clog the machine. For the past three years I've used liquid cheer and have yet to have a problem.
I don't have dishwasher inside my house

    I have washing machine inside the house ';parents house';

I use powder to wash with I use on cold, warm, hot water

I just add 1 cup that all that needed. I don't need to use more.

I believe you get your true money worth because liquid is 50% water

as compare to powder me more of chemicals.

Plus in my experience it wash out stain much better

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>

I have not seen liquid work to remove stain just was well as lot of people claim in the this forum
    No they're fine. It's just that if the detergent gets damp because you store the box in a damp place, like under the sink, it won't work as well and will ';cake up.';

Oddly, I find it sometimes cakes, or doesn't fully dissolve, in the dishwasher. I have no idea what causes that.

It's just a matter of how well things get washed, not having any effect on your pipes.
The only thing that I've experienced from using powder detergents in

the dishwashers and/or washing machines is that sometimes you

might use a little too much detergents in these appliances from time to

time. But you can easily correct this by running them through a second rinse cycle.
In dishwashers, it's OK - but in the washer you should use a liquid unless you wash in warm or hot all the time.
Personally I prefer liquid, but have heard that powder clogs things up.
They aren't bad in washing machines and dishwashers as long as you don't use more than needed. It would also be a good idea to run an empty machine with a cup of vinegar in it to clean the machine of any residue.

However, if you have a septic tank, it's better to use liquids in the washer, the dishwasher and bathing. The powdered detergents and bar soaps contain ingredients that can upset the bacteria balance in a septic system.
You know....powder detergents have been around a lot longer than the liquid ones. I always put it in the washer first then the water and let it swish around a bit before adding the clothes, just to make sure it dissolves.

Magnesium oxide, or magnesia, is a white solid mineral that occurs naturally as periclase and is a source of magnesium (see also oxide). It has an empirical formula of MgO. It is formed by an ionic bond between one magnesium and one oxygen atom. Magnesium oxide is easily made by burning magnesium ribbon which oxidizes in a bright white light, resulting in a powder. It is hygroscopic in nature and care must be taken to protect it from moisture. Magnesium hydroxide forms in the presence of water (MgO + H2O 鈫?Mg(OH)2), but it can be reversed by heating it to separate moisture.

The crystal structure of MgO matches the crystal structure of NaCl.[2]

Would powder make-up (like bare minerals) have to be put in a plastic bag when traveling?

The Bare Minerals should be fine with no bag because its not a liquid. The crest strips shouldn't need to be put into your liquid bad either. Lipstick, lip balm (such as ChapStick), foundation, lotion, those are the types of things that need to be bagged.Would powder make-up (like bare minerals) have to be put in a plastic bag when traveling?
    No.

  • Is powder puff football only for seniors and juniors?

Is it only for seniors and juniors to play against each other? Is there only one game per year?

CHEAP that i can get at rite-aid, walgreens, or cvs. stores like that. What is the best non-comedogenic face powder for acne-prone skin?
Neutrogena products are great you can buy them anywhere! My dermatologist recommended it when I went to him for acne. I used to spend so much on cleansers and makeup. Now I spend way less and my skin looks better then ever! What is the best non-comedogenic face powder for acne-prone skin?
Try L'Oreal's Mineral powders. I started using that and noticed a big difference in my acne. I am not having it as frequently. I bought a starter kit at Wal Mart for 25 bucks. It came with the foundation powder, blush and a finishing powder.

Is it ok to sell white creatine powder in small packets on the streets in front of cops to friends for $$$?

Like act like drug dealers near drug neighborhoods, but sell creatine packaged like drugs, and use codeword ';creatine'; when selling, and record everything from hidden camera to later post on the Interent?

Is this illegal? Is it ok to sell white creatine powder in small packets on the streets in front of cops to friends for $$$?
In Arizona it is.Is it ok to sell white creatine powder in small packets on the streets in front of cops to friends for $$$?
It's only illegal if you are selling the creatine to trick buyers in to believing it is actually illegal drugs. I don't believe that there is anything illegal about tricking the people who are watching you sell the creatine (that everyone - other than the watchers - knows not to be drugs).

I just find it difficult to see you receiving any kind of punishment for:

    1) Selling creatine

    2) When the buyers know it's only creatine

    3) While referring to the creatine as ';creatine';

    4) And then showing up to court with a video you specifically made to film yourself during ';experiment';.

Just before you go out, tell the camera who you are and what your ';experiment'; entails. Also, have your buyers state who they are and that they know they are only buying creatine.
The fact that you are staging something with all knowledge that it is just ';pretend'; drugs....

However if someone yells ';bomb'; or ';fire'; in a building... that sounds just about as bad, and you get in serious trouble for that.

That could get you into trouble.... probably not jail time, but perhaps probation.

Why the efff would you want to do something so pointless and silly?

Messing around with stuff like that is dangerous, and if you are selling it to people who believe it is drugs, you can get yourself killed. Junkies are desperate people.
Yep, it's illegal. Many drug dealers have gone to jail for dealing drugs that weren't actually drugs. As long as you're presenting the notion that you're dealing, you'll go to jail.
Depends, people sell legal substances packaged as narcotics all the time. You may not get charged with the narcotics but you may get charged with a loitering.
you aren't very intelligent! that is an awful idea. why would you want to do that?

    Yes it is illegal.
Illegal in California. It is called a felony sales of ';bunk'; or fake narcotics.
    Yep............

Yeast is for rising breads. What is the different bwt using baking powder and yeast when baking a loaf of bread?
Yeast is a live organism that is 'woken up' by added sugar and warm water to it, in other words you activate it. Baking powder is a leavening agent that uses an alkaline and acid mixed with starch, that when combined with water emits gas causing the bread to raise. Baking powder comes in two forms, single or double acting, most people bake with double acting. Yeast can be dry active, or fresh yeast, like a cake.

I am thinking of decorating my powder room with a spin. :) I am not sure if this will look tacky, or might be able to wing it. My utility cart is wider than this one approx. 3ft x 1ft. And if there is a consensus, then I plan to decorate with candles, towels, magazines, orchid etc. But, can't decide, whether it's a good idea? I haven't painted the walls as yet.Can I use a utility cart for powder room decor? Need some opinions/advice?
That is very cool looking. If your shelves are open like the one shown, you might have glass cut the size of your shelf so nothing would fall threw. I would use the handles to hang towels on, use more chrome in your room, like a waste paper basket, get a bigger bucket and out your excess toilet paper rolls in,get chrome plated container for your orchids, and tooth brush holder and candle holders. Hand a few crystals on your pots, like the ones for a chandelier for sparkle. Have fun.Can I use a utility cart for powder room decor? Need some opinions/advice?
    go for it :)
Until I looked at the picture I thought it would be bad news. But I am convinced it is OK. Make sure it isn't too big so it doesn't look out of scale for the room size.

When you said utility card at first I thought you meant the thing with the bucket and mop holders that the janitors use.
Oh I love that. It's fresh and modern looking and the stainless steel look could easily be softened with a stack of light colored cream or white fluffy towels. You could also add frosted plexiglass cut to fit the top of the shelves for a slightly different look. Since you haven't painted yet, if you like the new shades of light blue( or light lavender) they'd really complement the silver of the cart. Cream or white colored accents ( like a tradtional vase with silk flowers) on top of the cart will also nicely accent the silver tone of the cart as well as the freshness of the blue on the walls.Have fun with it!
I think it would look cool ! Another tip if you like this sort of thing.....I don't know what you're going to put on the cart, but depending on how large it is, you could put white lacy handkerchiefs on it.....or if that's too small, then you could possibly use a white lace table cloth to either cover it.....or fold it and use as a decoration on the shelf. There are SO many ideas......you dont' even have to use white......use whatever is in your color scheme. I'd have a hay day with that :) Have fun for me !
well u know what, u can absolutely use any thing u want to decorate ur powder room. here's what i suggest:

    #1 paint ur room

#2 paint ur cart in a contrasting color

#3 put ur candles and stuff in the way u want them

#4 live with it awhile to see how u like it.

If u decide u don't like it, i don't think u will have put that much money into it that it will break ur bank. good luck

    #2
I am so sorry to disagree with everyone, however, please do not use that cart in your power room. It is what it is...a utility cart. Leave it at that.

Buy a nice piece of furniture for the bath. Horchow has amazing ideas or you can try homeclick. If those are too expensive go to garage sales and second hand stores to find something more suitable. Even target would have something if you wanted to be more contemporary.

Your concern was that the utility cart would look tacky and the answer is yes.

Best wishes and Good luck to you.

  • Does anyone else crave to put baby powder in their mouth?

I am 37 weeks pregnant and I like to powder my heiny with baby powder. When I smell the power I imagine that I would like to have the flavor in my mouth. I am not going to do this because I know I will not get the satisfaction that I imagine.

I would just like to know if anyone else has a strange craving like this.Does anyone else crave to put baby powder in their mouth?
I've had it to.... Quite strange. It was really like ';oh i want to EAT this!'; I didn't know if it was bad though.Does anyone else crave to put baby powder in their mouth?
I haven't gotten any cravings yet but in my research I did read about some pregnant women craving non-edible things that contain minerals and some other things. I can't remember exactly what it was, but I believe the article said that this happens because you aren't getting enough of it in your diet.
No, I haven't but I did read in What To Expect When Expecting that this does happen with some women. It said that some women actually start craving to taste tar and chalk.. at least you know not to do it but if you feel the urge to do it, speak to your OB or midwife right away.
That sounds like PICA, and you need to see the doctor right away if you begin having any of those cravings. Many women are not able to restrain themselves from actually tasting the things they have cravings for when they have PICA, so just get help before it gets worse. Good luck.
Cravings for non-food items (like dirt, clay, detergent and yes, baby powder) are called PICA and it's serious during pregnancy. Phone your doctor.

PS Why are you powdering your behind as a grown woman?
go talk to your doctor. you might have pica which is a disrorder in which you crave non food items. its usually caused by a vitamin or mineral deficiency. it can be easily treated.
    Um...not me. I don't use baby powder because I'M NOT A MOTHER!

    LIQUID GENERATION--SABOTAGE!

You are #2 on my saboteur list.
you should tell your doctor. ive heard that strange cravings like that could indicate that your missing something in your diet or that theres another problem.
That is called PICA and you should notify your doctor right away.

Its a sign of vitamin/mineral deficiency.

Every time I bleed I have to suck the blood away...interesting flavor...
No but that is an actual condition you should talk to your doctor about, it is called PICA
    umm....no
hahaha i dont know about that one....

    ....good luck...

    I heard MAC was good,

also Bare Minerals and Clinique, if not those what would you recommend? and why? What kind of make up (foundation and powder) would you recommend?
Bare Escentuals is great because it's natural and it can bee used as concealer too. I myself loove MAC because they have a great range. What kind of make up (foundation and powder) would you recommend?
I love MAC but it tends to make alot of people break out, and all the shades are always kind of orange.

They have a Prep+Prime finishing powder that I LOVE though... Its a white powder, but it doesn't show up on your skin as white... It just leaves a really nice, soft and velvety texture.

As for foundation, I really love Estee Lauder's Double Wear foundation. The colors match your skin tone well, and it lasts a while and doesn't rub off.
MAC makeup is amazing, although not the greatest for very pale skintones. I've tried Bare Minerals, and it provides ok coverage but I would suggest getting a good quality concealer to use along with it. ever tried Clinique, but I hear its good.

What can I use instead of Baking powder?

I am making pancakes and I need baking powder, but we don't have any. Can I use baking soda?????What can I use instead of Baking powder?
    You can use Baking Powder.

Both baking soda and baking powder are leavening agents, which means they are added to baked goods before cooking to produce carbon dioxide and cause them to 'rise'. Baking powder contains baking soda, but the two substances are used under different conditions. What can I use instead of Baking powder?
BAKING POWDER 鈥?There are three ways you can substitute for baking powder, depending on the recipe:

1 teaspoon baking powder equals 1/4 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar; or,

1 teaspoon baking powder equals 1/2 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/2 cup buttermilk or plain yogurt:

and 1 teaspoon baking powder also equals 1/4 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/3 cup molasses. When using the substitutions that include liquid, reduce other liquid in recipe accordingly.
No I dont think you can. Just use flour, milk, and a flavoring if you'd like.

On my plane ride to ireland will i be able to bring bare minerals powder makeup?

my bare minerals makeup is kept in small round containers. i know there are new restrictions set up on planes as to what you are allowed to bring with you. i wanted to carry my makeup and other toiletries in a carry on in case my baggage was lost or if my plane was delayed. would they not allow me to bring small containers of powder on a trip from the US to Ireland? On my plane ride to ireland will i be able to bring bare minerals powder makeup?
The above poster needs to get her facts straight.

Yes, you can take your makeup with you because it's a powder and not a liquid. The current restrictions are for liquids, pastes, and gels such as toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, gel deodorant, etc.

All liquids that you carry through the security checkpoint must be 3.4 ounces/100ml or less by VOLUME (the amount the container can hold) not by weight. All of the 3.4oz/100ml containers must fit in a one QUART zip top bag. BAGGIES are not allowed. You must remove this bag from your carry on and place it in the bin when you pass through security. For a complete list of what must go in the bag and what doesn't have to go to http://www.tsa.dhs.gov/travelers/airtrav鈥?/a>

These rulse are for the US. On your return trip you may have to abide by slightly different rules.

You may want to also add a clean pair of underware to your carry on. I know that I can go a few days in the same dirty clothes as long as I'm wearing clean underware. On my plane ride to ireland will i be able to bring bare minerals powder makeup?
Yes you can bring Bare Minerals because it is not liquid. Anything liquid must be in a container and not weigh more than 3 oz. and it all has to be able to fit in nothing bigger than a gallon sized clear plastic baggy; has to be a clear plastic baggy, you can use a sandwich bag if you don't have that much liquid stuff.

Difference between whey protein isolate and protein powder?

What is the difference between the two? And where can you buy them from in South Australia?Difference between whey protein isolate and protein powder?
';protein powder'; simply implies that it's a powder of a protein source. Could be soy, whey, egg, casein, milk protein, rice protein, or any combination of them.

Whey (the clear stuff on the top of a yogurt container) has a very high quality protein (the body can use it well) but it doesn't have much TOTAL protein.. so it's gathered together and concentrated.

Your lowest grade whey protein is going to be whey protein concentrate.. which is (I *THINK*) 30-85% protein... Most protein companies sell around 80% for their protein CONCETRATE.

so if you were buying 1kg (2.2lbs) of protein, you'd have about 800gm protein, and 200gm of ';not-protein'; (lactose, fat, ash) before they went and flavored/sweetened it.

Whey ISOLATE is usually 90% or higher protein content, with some of the better ones being as high as 95-98%

so that same kilogram of protein would get you 950-980gm of protein with naturally occurring fat/carb/ash.

WPC is very economical and most people can use it with no problem... those of us who are lactose intolerant are more inclined to using Whey Isolates instead of concentrates (and our significant others thank us for it)

As for Australia, sorry.. from the USA, so I can't be much help there.

  • What is the Mass gain protein powder for muscle mass?

I need a protein powder for muscle mass, not a weight gainer but a protein powder please. What is the Mass gain protein powder for muscle mass?
Optimums 100% Whey Protein Gold Standard is about the best protein out there. Take one scoop before then one after your workouts. Then on NON workout days take a scoop first thing in the morning when you get up.

Another really good protein powder is Muscle Milk. It's also good for what you are looking for.

I have been working out for 7 yrs now and YES protein will help you. EATING is KEY to building muscle mass. You have to eat more calories than you are burning to gain weight ';muscle mass';.

Take it from someone is was/is a HARDGAINER for muscle mass that adding a good protein will help you. What is the Mass gain protein powder for muscle mass?
I have researched this VERY intricately and the best protein powder pound for pound is Muscle Juice 2488. You can get it offline at bodybuilding.com. Don;t be fooled by going to GNC their Gold Seal crap and all that other stuff they have is WAYYYYY over priced and doesn't offer nearly as much ECC's NECC's as MJ2488.

Disclaimer- I am not an employee of Bodybuilding.com and am not getting compesated for this answer.

I am simply a VERY satisfied customer
Protein powders claiming to help you gain muscle mass are cheating you out of your money. Muscle mass is achieved through a caloric excess, by eating more calories than you can burn, and resistance training. If your caloric excess is primarily from supplements, your diet is no good.
    Bad for you

Please listen and don't take it

How to fit a .45 conversion cylinder to a Ruger Old Army black powder?

Take it to a gun smith.

First he needs to check the gun to make sure it can handle the loads. A gun designed to shoot black powder may not be able to handle modern nitrate based powders found in cartridges. If your gun has a brass frame, forget it. If he says it can be done, the you got the issue of actually installing the cylinder.

It is not just a case of removing one cylinder and sticking in another, contrary to what the advertisements say. You have to ensure the gap between the cylinder and forcing cone on the barrel is correct. You have to regulate the cylinder, meaning when you c.o.c.k the hammer the next firing chamber must line up exactly with the barrel. This must be done for all six otherwise if one does not line up, too much of the bullet will ';miss'; the forcing cone and the gun could blow up in your hand. The drop in units go on the assumption that all the Rugers are exactly the same in measurements.

Also, just how are you planning on ejecting the cartridges? Take a look at the design of the conversion units. You will have to take it out of the gun, remove the back, remove the cartridges, reload, put the back back on, put it back into the gun. All giving rise to the potential of doing something wrong and/or causing damage to either the frame, firing mechanism or cylinder. A speedy system it is not.

There are also the legal ramifications. A black powder gun built according to a design of the 1800s does not have the same limits set by law as does a modern cartridge revolver. In some locations a black powder gun is considered an ';antique'; even if recently built and you do not have to register the gun. But if you convert it, suddenly it is a ';modern'; gun and you have to register it. You also may be taking a gun that is legal under the black powder laws and making a gun that may not be legal under the cartridge laws. A gunsmith in your area would know the proper way to legally convert the gun and what paper work is needed.

Lastly, the liability ramifications. If you modify the gun, Ruger will not stand behind its product. Will the company that supplied the cartridge cylinder? Or will they claim in small print that it has to be installed by a gunsmith? If you install it yourself, are you willing to accept full responsibility for someone getting hurt as a result of your conversion?

Considering all issues, it would be far cheaper for you to sell the gun to someone who wants a black powder gun and then go out and buy a new cartridge gun to your liking. Or take the money you were going to spend on the conversion and go buy a new gun. There is no law (yet) that says you can only have one gun.

Consider your guns as a collection. Gun collecting is almost as much fun as shooting. You got a cap and ball revolver. Get a new revolver showing the next step in the evolution of guns, like a Colt Peacemaker or a Ruger Blackhawk. After that get a quality double action revolver like a Ruger Redhawk or Smith and Wesson.

(I am partial to Rugers. They are built quite a bit tougher than the Smith and Wessons.)How to fit a .45 conversion cylinder to a Ruger Old Army black powder?
The Ruger Old Army never came brass, so that shows off the bat what you know about the subject. The Taylor cylinder is wonderful, ready to run out of the box. If there is a problem, send the gun and cylinder to Taylor's and they will fit one for you at no charge. Could not be easier.

The ATF has d Report Abuse
How to fit a .45 conversion cylinder to a Ruger Old Army black powder?
The ATF has declared this to be an antique, as cartridge conversions were common after 1865, and this is a replica of one of the types of conversions. This is why they say to fire black powder loads, as black powder loads are not readily commercially available, as per ATF ruling. Report Abuse

Taylors includes a letter from the ATF o.k.ing the conversion. I wish people would think before they open there mouths or keyboards. Bad info will hurt us all. Especially in the shooting sports.

You have to be quite knowledgeable about revolvers to do that. The hand and cylinder rotation notches would have to set right just for starters. Such a conversion is way beyond the ability of an average tinkerer. It may not even be possible for a pro, without extensive milling and machine work.
There are drop-in cylinders that require little or no gunsmithing. Google Kirst Kartridge Konverter, the site will tell you where they sell them. They go for about $250 per, but if that is the way you want to go, they are the cheapest and easiest I've seen.
Depending on who you are getting the cylinder from, fitting it properly may require the services of a gunsmith.
I bought 'R%26amp;D' brand conversion cylinders from MidwayUSA for both of my Old Army's, and they were simple 'drop-ins', requiring no fitting and they both worked GREAT first time out!
It is not wise to discuss such subjects on here.

Is there a substitue for Meringue Powder?

I am taking a cake decorating class and the icing recipe calls for meringue powder. Every grocery store I checked has never heard of it. I know meringue is just eggs whites so I figure I could probably add that but I don't know what ration to confectioners sugar to use or if I need to add any other ingredients to make the substitute ingredients work.Is there a substitue for Meringue Powder?
If you go to a craft store, you will find the meringue powder. Any store that carrys Walton's supplies should have the meringue powder. The reason you use the powder instead of the actual egg whites is because of bacteria from uncooked eggs. Two stores that may carry it are Michael's and JoAnns. Give them a call.Is there a substitue for Meringue Powder?
If you are making icing which is uncooked, you run the risk of salmonella. If you can't find meringue powder, you might be able to find pasteurized egg whites in the section with the eggs. From what I can see, use 2 large egg whites for 5 tablespoons meringue powder. Each egg white is 1 oz. of pasteurized egg whites.
Walmart craft department, any craft store.

Can somebody help me find a powder material with a magnetic shileding affect?

The magnetic permeability needs to be at least 12,000.Can somebody help me find a powder material with a magnetic shileding affect?
    Hi.

I understand what you are after but obviously you havn't mentioned what it is for, which would obviously help as you mention a powder coat... but dry powder or heated plastic powder which could form a protective hard layer?

Any conductive metal powder such as aliminum powder will work as an EMF shield but there are companies out there now who do a plastic with conductive alloys within it which will do the job. I believe this then needs to be heat treated, which forms a plastic coating which is hard.

I found a paper on it that uses alloy.. this is what it reads...

Soft magnetic powder comprising flat soft magnetic particles of an alloy having a composition defined and encompassed by polygon ABCDE in a Fe-Si-Cr ternary composition diagram of FIG. 1 or polygon JKLMN in a Fe-Si-Al ternary composition diagram of FIG. 4 is suitable for use in magnetic shields. The flat soft magnetic particles are prepared by furnishing alloy particles having a predetermined composition, flattening them, and heat treating the flat particles to develop a peak corresponding to plane index (002) in an X-ray diffraction diagram thereof.

but I have listed a few companies that might be able to help

I phones these for you, and they said they don't have a powder coat but might be able to help if you call them with another way..

These you can buy aluminum powder for less the $10

Anyway, good luck, if I can help more, let me know. Can somebody help me find a powder material with a magnetic shileding affect?
The material is called ferrite. It is available here:-

You can get magnetic permeabilities well over 12,000 if you want.
You must be thinking about mu-metal.

The link connects to other high 渭 materials.
I know what ur talking about and i cant think of the name of it !!
