I need some onion powder, but I don't have any. Is there anything that can take the place of it in a recipe?

Also,

if there is something else that I can use instead of onion powder for what I'm making, how much of it do I use?

I need 1/2 tsp. of onion powder.

So....

Btw, I'm making cheesy chicken and rice.

I don't know if that will help.lolI need some onion powder, but I don't have any. Is there anything that can take the place of it in a recipe?
use finely minced onion or grind the onion in the food processor and use the juice. About a teaspoon of either will be good.I need some onion powder, but I don't have any. Is there anything that can take the place of it in a recipe?
i guess you cut chop bitsy tiny pieces of onion and blend it if you can and add salt to it and black pepper maybe...
try 1/4 t onion salt if you have that, or chopped onion, or dehydrated minced onion...

if you use the onion salt, don't add extra salt...
Try a 1/2 teaspoon of onion salt or maybe just substitute garlic powder if you have it.

If you don't have it just leave it out. It's a small amount and I don't think it would make a big difference.
I would use Garlic powder if you have it.
If you dont have an onion or onion powder, dont even worry about it, half a teaspoon of cayenne would make a difference, but onion powder not so much.
garlic powder .... minced onions ... or just leave it out:)
saute some chopped onion in olive oil and throw it into the casserole. It'll be great.
